Ohio University History Assn.'s

2nd Annual Spring Lecture “Was the Civil War a Just War?”

 Appropriately situated during the 150-year commemoration of the American Civil War, Dr. Aaron Sheehan-Dean from West Virginia University will present a lecture exploring how both sides framed and critiqued how they waged war.  This event will be discussed in context to other 19th century national and civil conflicts as well as exploring broader international laws of war and just war theory.  Following the Q&A portion of the evening, there will be a reception for the audience to engage Dr. Sheehan-Dean further.

 This event is free and open to the public.
