School Groups Welcome

at the

Athens County Historical Society & Museum!

All educational programming is hands-on and meets the state academic standards.  We schedule field trips Monday through Friday from 9am – noon and Monday afternoons 1pm-3pm.  We recommend blocking off 1.5 hours for the field trip, but we have successfully completed activities in only 1 hour.  Special situations may allow for other time slot considerations. Teachers receive pre-visit activity packets and access to post-visit PowerPoint presentations for their classroom.  All school trips are FREE and funding to cover bus transportation is available. Click here for the ACHS&M Bus Fund application.
